You imprinted the morning
And faded into loneliness,
Swimming in the foam
Of the forgotten ocean
And scratching the remains
Of clams, sucked into
Your sore skin,
Off of your body
The touch of coarse rocks
Didn't awake you
You rubbed your palms
On the moss
And pulled the last scraps
From his hungry mouth
That was screaming in the dark,
Detaching you from the door
When you tried to enter
His entrails
He didn't offer his hands
Wrapped around your body
With a feel of leeches
And hungry devilfish
He shoved you away
You scattered
Over the sharp cliffs
And bleeded off into the sea

He still tastes and smells you
While you are closing your dimmed eyes
