There once was a man with a map,
and a hat that refused to stay flat.
He chased down the sun,
just to see where it’d run—
then tripped on a camel. Imagine that.

He hunted for kingdoms long gone,
with a compass that never switched on.
He found not a throne,
just a goat chewing bone,
and decided the myths had moved on.

A parrot once yelled from a tree,
“You’re late, it was here—half past three!”
He laughed till he cried,
then politely replied,
“Guess the sun’s got more sense than me.”

He still packs his bag every June,
to chase down a half-hearted tune.
If you meet him someday,
he’ll be well on his way,
still promising he’ll be home “soon.”
