V kotu sobe ob peči,
vdana v usodo čakanja na zimo,
sedi starka in sanja o sreči.
Na zdaj že ukrivljenih plečih
nosila je "hišo" od zore do mraka.
Sedaj sedi ob topli
lončeni peči in čaka.
Čaka, da njen čas mine;
verjetno bo to preko zime,
preden pride pomladno cvetje
bo že visoko med oblaki.
Tam bo svobodna
na puhu oblakov se bo z znanci igrala
in spet bo čakala,
da pride spet njen čas.
Nov krog življenja,
ko bo lahko druge ljudi
v svojem srcu nosila
Ode to Waiting for Winter
In the quiet corner of the room,
The old woman sits in silent gloom.
Her hands weathered, her back now bent,
Waiting for winter, her days well spent.
Carrying the weight of the house,
From dawn until the sun sets to douse.
Now by the stove, she finds her reprieve,
Dreaming of days she can finally leave.
As the cold winds blow outside,
She sits by the fire, filled with pride.
For all the work she has done,
In the warmth of the flame, she finds her sun.
Waiting for winter, with hopeful eyes,
She dreams of snowy days under clear skies.
Her heart filled with joy and bliss,
In moments like these, she finds her peace.
So here's to the old woman by the stove,
Waiting for winter with unwavering hope.
May her dreams of happiness come true,
And may her days be filled with love anew.
Mogoče bi moral dati v navednice tudi "nosila" ampak nisem čisto prepričan
Jaz ne bi dala navednic.
Lepa pesem. Mila nežna želja po minevanju.
