You held the flower in your gentle grasp,
Its petals bright, but now they start to fade.
Once vibrant life, now silenced by the gasp
Of fate, for in your hand its beauty frayed.
Tears fall like rain, but cannot bring it back,
The roots now severed from the earth's embrace.
Each drop a plea, each sob a tender crack,
Yet still the leaves succumb to time's swift pace.
Cursed is the bloom that lives but in the past,
A treasure lost beneath a heavy sky.
Though memories of fragrance ever last,
The lifeless stem can only heave a sigh.
So cherish blooms that thrive in nature's hold,
For life, once plucked, turns faded and cold.
