We never understood its might,
Yet wars were fought, both day and night.

It touched the soul, yet cant hold,
Fading quickly, like stories told.

The light has faded, night is drawn.
It’s hard, it's dark, and cold the air,

It leaves them changed, with hearts unknown,
Transformed in ways that can't be shown.
No longer the same, they're hard to see,
Strangers now, far from what they used to be.

Suddenly in shadows it lingers, unseen, unknown,
A secret force, to itself alone.
It is cold and dark until new hearts collide,
A spark ignites…

Until it comes at last, so beautiful and kind,
A gentle grace to heal the mind.
It comes at last, a new hope's light,
Emerging fast from the night.

We hope and grasp, with hearts so true,
But the unseen force is wild, unpredictable too.  
We hope and grasp, with trembling hands,
That we stay as we are, and not drift to distant lands.

a resilient spark,
