Electricity powers my lazy limbs,
Radiators sizzle, warming up the rooms,
As winter presses down from the hills.
Winter's embrace, soon to blanket the earth.

I look at the pale gray lines in front of me
Each word carefully chosen, like a symphony
On the same, white, paper they dance
Crafting stories with every chance
The pen in my hand leaves a blue trace
Capturing thoughts at a steady pace
I edit, refine, and rearrange
Until my wild ideas feel less strange
Really hot flashes in my head

Through the window I gaze every morning,
Light above the street swaying in the wind
Faint shadows moving along the pavement.
In the morning a puppy with a frisbee in its mouth
Leads its owner on a leash,
Pausing at every blade of grass.
The traffic awakens in the dark city
At an hour when all the children are still fast asleep.
The janitor already preparing the school,
Radiators sizzle, warming up the room.

Every day is dressed in gray,
A monotonous haze that clouds my way.
But if a little sun were to break through,
I'd find happiness in the golden hue.
I follow the columns of traffic lines,
Longing for nature's soothing signs.
I run into the forest, away from the noise,
Where peace and tranquility are my choice.
Their colors painting a beautiful scroll.
As winter presses down from the hills.

In warm fur coats, we find comfort
Puddles freeze, grasses covered in icy lace
Leaves rustle, propelled by the wind's gentle hand
Morning fog shrouds the world in mystery
Dark clouds loom, rain ready to fall
Trees stand tall, resilient soldiers against the storm
Fields barren, crops gathered in final harvest
Birds of prey circle overhead, seeking sustenance
Snow whispers its impending arrival
Winter's embrace, soon to blanket the earth.
